Restoration of Ginae Karoub Story

I’ve always loved redemption stories. Our Heavenly Father is a God of redemption, restoration, reconciliation, and revival.

In August 2021, my friend Michelle Kollig reached out to update me on our mutual friend, Ginae Karoub, who was hospitalized because of the coronavirus. Michelle asked me to keep Ginae in my prayers as she was on a ventilator. She also informed me that Ginae’s husband, Scott, and their daughter, Rachel, had also contracted the virus.

Upon hearing this, I felt a strong directive from the Lord to pray for Ginae, Scott, and Rachel. It was clear to me that Ginae’s life hinged on the prayers of the saints. Too many individuals did not survive the pandemic because they lacked support in prayer. I firmly believe that it is not Yahweh’s will for Ginae to die; instead, she should live and boldly proclaim the works of the Lord. As stated in Psalm 118:17 (NASB), “I will not die, but live, and tell of the works of the Lord.”

I called Scott to understand the gravity of the situation for him, Ginae, and Rachel. Scott struggled to speak, clearly breathless, as he described Ginae’s critical condition. It was clear to me that patients requiring ventilators often faced grim odds. I strongly urged them to pray and have unwavering faith in Yahweh’s miraculous power. Scott and Rachel rose to the challenge, ready to pray, and I was deeply impressed by their determination. They were resolutely committed to fighting for Ginae’s life. After our call, I couldn’t shake the urgency of Ginae’s situation from my mind. I knew without a doubt that Yahweh intended to heal her, but He needed the fervent prayers of His people to bring about that healing. We must pray! Pray with conviction! Pray without ceasing!

Scott’s oxygen levels dropped to a critical point, which forced Rachel to take immediate action and rush him to the emergency room. After receiving the necessary treatment, Scott was discharged. Not long after, he called to inform me that the hospital had reached out to him, delivering the shocking news that Ginae’s condition was critical and she was not expected to survive the night. I spoke with Rachel and firmly urged her to pray with determination and intensity. This is what I refer to as “Mean Praying.” As Matthew 11:12 NASB states, “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.”

At a pivotal moment, everything transformed. Rachel’s prayers took on an intense fervor. Even while battling the china virus, she set that aside and focused on fighting for her family. She called me with conviction, saying, “The Holy Spirit came upon me; I began praying in tongues and decreeing that Dad would not die but live.” She asserted the same declaration for her mother. Rachel emphasized that she had never encountered such a profound sense of authority before.

This is the essential type of prayer we need. We must delve deep into the spirit realm, praying in tongues powerfully to transform lives—from sickness to health, from death to life!

The Shift

Ginae triumphed over a critical phase marked by a significant shift in her condition. She was taken off the ventilator, and her health drastically improved. I vividly remember our conversation over the phone after she came off the ventilator. During that call, she recounted an extraordinary experience where Yeshua spoke to her, promising to breathe for her. It was nothing short of remarkable. I share this story frequently to inspire others and to demonstrate that with determination, our Lord will undoubtedly lead us to victory.
